The Origin Story

This blog wasn’t built during a caffeine-fueled hackathon. It was born in a much more domestic setting.

I was in the middle of a very delicate operation: detangling my sleeping daughter’s hair. As any parent knows, this requires the precision of a bomb disposal expert. To keep my own mind occupied while my hands worked through the knots, I was listening to a Stephen King novel on Audible.

In that quiet chaos, I decided to build this blog. But I didn’t type it all out myself. I had help.

The Tech Stack

This site is a testament to modern AI-assisted development. Here is the stack that powers it:

  • Quarto: For turning plain text markdown into this beautiful website.
  • Vercel: For hosting and lightning-fast delivery.
  • Jules: The AI agent that did the heavy lifting (and wrote this post!).

Behind the Scenes

For those interested in the “meta” details of how this specific post came to be, here are some artifacts from the development process.

The Pull Requests

You can trace the history of this blog’s development through these pull requests:

The Prompt

To give you full transparency, here is the exact prompt that generated this very blog post:

“Replace the ‘hello world’ blog post with a blog post about how this blog was built.

For the content expand on this outline -

  • The blog itself was built mostly by AI while I was both detangling my kid’s hair (she was sleeping) and I was listening to a Stephen King novel on Audible.
  • -information about tech stack (Quatro, Vercel, Jules etc.) -
    • add more interesting info. Maybe, this prompt itself, PR links etc.

Give an interesting title and make the posted date 1st Jan 2026.”

It’s a brave new world where you can detangle hair, listen to horror fiction, and build a website all at the same time. Welcome to 2026.
